IWMAC Remote Access is a service for accessing equipment on the customer network.
It consist of a standalone application that the end user needs to download and run.
I. e. not a pure web browser solution.
But the web pages may interact with Remote Access app, i. e. launch the app with users credentials / selected plant id.
A service is running on the plant, that may (on demand) connect to iwmac.net to get instructions on what to do. The service is able to expose a set of fixed (predefined) ip:port’s or a set of dynamic (by scanning) ip:port’s. The service acts like a proxy and routes traffic from the end user to the selected equipment.
The IWMAC Remote Access app also connects to iwmac.net. It establish a set of tcp servers hosted on localhost addresses and also acts as proxy, routing traffic to the service on the plant.
If the user has privilege's to Remote Access, it may be launched in three ways.
