DrvWDC is a driver used to communicate with WebDatorCentral.
To use DrvWDC, an IO device is first created in WebPort. The IO is then used to communicate with WDC via its http based RPC API.
Installation
The installation of DrvWDC is done by selecting DrvWDC during the installation of Web Port.
See "Installation" for more information on the installation process.
IO-device
To use DrvWDC, first create an IO device as described in chapter "IO-devices" of the manual. In addition to general settings (see "general settings" in IO-devices), the following settings are available for an IO device of type DrvWDC:
| Setting: | Description: |
| Device address | Device network name or IP address |
| Username | Username to use to log in to the device |
| Password | Password for the username |
| Read timeout | Maximum reading time before reading and writing questions time out |
Tags
For more information on how to create tag lists and tags, see chapter "Tags" of the manual.
Tag addresses:
Addressing is done by referring to addresses in the parameter bank in the unit. Parameters are referenced using addresses of the form p501x1y0z0.
See the IMSE WebMaster PRO manual for a list of all addresses. You can also log in to the device via the web interface to see how it is set up.
Import:
The WDC driver also provides the ability to import tags from the WDC.
