Web Port introduces a new feature that allows users to export and import folders and pages with essential project information. This functionality is especially useful when transferring a project without direct access to the original folders on the PC where Web Port is installed.
When exporting, the following items are included:
- Pages
- Backgrounds
- Tag lists
- IO devices
- Time schedules
- Documentation
Some elements are not included in the export process:
- Symbol library
- Folder and page icons
- Alarm settings
- History and trend data
- OEM Themes
- Any node folders/pages
How to Export a Folder/Pages
- Navigate to the top level by clicking "Go to top level."
- Select "Export folder" in the folder drop-down menu.
- Choose the folder(s) you wish to export.
- Alternatively, you can enter a specific folder, select "Export folder" and then choose specific pages to export.
- Click "Export" to complete the process.
How to Import a Folder
- Click "Import folder" in the folder drop-down menu.
- Select the previously exported file.
- Click "Upload."
- After uploading, additional options will appear:
- Keep relative path This option will recreate the same path to the folder/page as when it was exported.
- Add tag prefix – Allows you to add a prefix to avoid duplicate tag names.
- Search Option to search and replace in tag names
- Replace Option to search and replace in tag names
- Click "Upload" when you are ready to import.
