In the SYSTEM SETTINGS/DEBUG dialog, there are some tools that can facilitate communication troubleshooting. Here, units can be pinged and it is also possible to read addresses without creating tags in Web Port.
Information:
Debug is always available through the menu no matter which page you are on.
Note!
Debug requires ADMIN authorization!
Read/Write tag
Here, Web Port tags can be tested to verify proper function.
Information:
Enter Tag and click READ to perform a tag reading. When the reading is completed, the result is displayed in the Value box.

Read/Write IO
Here, addresses can be read and written directly to an IO-device without creating tags in Web Port. This can be useful, for example, if one is uncertain about which address holds a certain value.
Information:
Enter Address, IO-device and Data type and then click READ to perform a direct query to an IO-device. When the reading is completed, the result is displayed in the Value box.

Ping
In order to test the communication against a unit or an external address, Ping can be used advantageously.
Information:
Enter the IP address or host name of the unit to be pinged, and then click PING. When the ping is completed, the result is displayed in an image.
