Sense - Lansen is a wireless, battery operated temperature and humidity sensor. This article provides information on how to register Sense - Lanse sensors as well as tips on where they should be placed in the apatment.

Registration
- Scan the QR code on the device, enter the website and follow the registration process.
- You will need the contract number to complete the registration. Contract number can be found on the packing slip or in Edge.
- Use your Kiona account to log in. If you do not have a user account - Contact Kiona'sTechnical Support.
- Follow the steps in the tool for apartments. If there is no adress in the dropdown menu contact Kiona's Technical Support.
- Registration complete.

The battery in the sensor is already active.
Placement
DO
- Place the sensor in the hallway but as centralized in the apartment as possible.
- Place between 160-180 cm from the floor.
- Place the sensor in a similar position in each apartment.
DO NOT
- Place the sensor on or closer than 2m from an outer wall.
- Place the sensor on a wall connected to a stairwell or elevator shaft.
- Place the sensor close to lamps, radiators or other external heat/cold sources that could affect the measured temperature.

Once the sensor is registered and placed in the apartment, the nearest collection unit for the contract will start uploading data to Edge.
Troubleshooting
If there's no data being sent to the Kiona Edge server, this is how to verify if the battery is active and if it's not, how to activate it.
- Instructions on how to verify if battery is active:
- Place a magnet where the green arrow is pointing in the picture above.
- If the red LED starts blinking once every 3 seconds for about 10 seconds, then the battery is active.
- Instructions on how to activate the battery:
- Place a magnet where the green arrow is pointing in the picture above.
- A red LED will turn on – Keep holding the magnet.
- When the LED turns off – Remove the magnet.
NOTE!
If you get zero indication from the red LED by using a magnet then something is broken and the device probably needs to be replaced.
The circuit board is on the lid so no need to rip off the tape from the wall, you can simply remove the lid + QR code labels and replace with the new one you get.
