How to set or change user access rights to objects in Energinet
- Always make sure to check whether the user is allowed reading or editing rights to the object before you apply these changes.
- Usually, an administrator in the relevant top-level must decide whether it is OK to give a new user access.
- When in doubt, always check with your administrator or support_energinet@kiona.com
- Access rights can also be assigned during the creation of an account (explained in this guide).
1. Go to the folder or top-level that the user needs access to
2. Search for the user (searchbar), click on its email address and click 'Edit'
- You can already check existing access rights here in the block under the 'Edit' button
3. Click on the object the user needs access to
- Keep clicking on the object to cycle through the access possibilities: read-only access > editing access > no access.
- For example, reading access looks like this:
- While editing rights look like this:
4. Click on 'Update'
Different levels of user access explained

- EMS Administrator: Access to all functions available, but not user administration.
- Report Administrator: Access to all functions available, but not user administration and configuration of imports.
- Default user: Normal user that can create objects and add manual data values and alarms.
- Limited user: Can see objects but cannot configure them.
- No access / Report-receiving User: Can only receive reports, not see or edit anything.
