How to set up a new meter in Energinet
This guide shows you how to set up a new meter in Energinet. You need to have editing access rights to your level in order to change its configuration.
- To set up a new meter, at least type (e.g. water meter) and meter name must be filled out.
- For succesful import, a meter ID-number must be filled out as well.
1. Find the correct folder, and if applicable, building and energy block the meter will be created in and press the three dots while hoovering over the object. Then, click 'New meter'
2. Set the correct meter type
If your meter type is not listed, please follow this guide to create a custom meter type.
3. Set the meter's name, optionally, set the usage type as well (for reporting later)
- You can also add a note by clicking 'Notes' for storing any additional information about the meter that is cannot be set in any of the parameters in this overview.
4. If applicable, set the link to one or more energy blocks
5. Set the correct frequency of data imports (often hourly or every 15 minutes) and set the meter to the type of data registration applicable to the type of meter selected (e.g. incremental/volume)
6. If applicable, set the meters calculation and/or CO2-factor (e.g. to translate from W/h to kW/h), and hierarchy in relation to other (main/sub)meters

7. When finished, click on 'Create'
