How to create and configure a Smartmeter
This guide shows how to create a Smartmeter and configure it to display the desired data output. A Smartmeter is a virtual meter that can manipulate data of one or more normal or Smartmeters
(!) Moving a Smartmeter between folders or buildings will reset its configuration.
- A Smartmeter looks like (square symbol):
1. Go to the destination folder/building/energy block and hoover over it to click on the three dots and then on 'New meter'
2. Choose the tab 'Smartmeter'
3. Choose the type of meter
4. Provide a meter name, fill out any optional settings, and connect to an energy block if applicable
5. Set the logical expression for the Smartmeter
- Click on 'Energy(kWH)' of the relevant (Smart)meters in the overview as shown in the picture and/or use logical operators
- You can link up multiple (Smart)meters with each other
- Remember that a Smartmeter is virtual and has no data itself. It calculates its graphs and reports based on the configured logical expression.
- It is also possible to use other variables in the configuration overview:
6. If applicable, set the meter as a main/submeter
7. Press 'Create' to create the meter
- Click on the three dots when hoovering over the Smartmeter in the navigation tree and click on 'Edit Smartmeter' to change or delete any settings.
