Contents of the box

The box you received from IWMAC contains the following equipment:

• Gateway (power supply & network cable)
• Sensor
• Sensor with external probe 2m
• 4G modem with SIM card (only for certain installations)
• Mounting accessories: cable ties, tape and magnet

We have created this guide to make it easy for you to set up your new wireless installation.

Step 1: Gateway connection

1. Find the optimal placement of the gateway at the location so it can reach all sensors.
2. Plug the power supply into the socket.
3. Connect the network cable to the gateway and the network outlet.
   • If you have been supplied with a 4G modem and will be using it, connect the network cable to the gateway and the 4G modem, and plug the power supply into the socket.

Step 2: Sensor installation

PLACEMENT IN FREEZERS	PLACEMENT IN CABINETS
The ideal placement of the sensor is just below the load line. If the sensor can be attached with cable ties, we recommend placing it in a wire basket or other suitable fixture.	For open cabinets (fruit and vegetables) we recommend placement with a magnet under a shelf. If the cabinet does not have enough metal, use double-sided tape. For the best range from the sensor, we recommend avoiding it being covered by metallic packaging, frost or large quantities of goods.

External sensors are used in cold and freezer rooms and other cases/furniture where the signal is not good enough with standard sensors.

You have been supplied with various mounting accessories — cable ties, tape and magnet — which you can use as needed.

Note! We recommend NOT mounting the sensors directly in freezer cases/rooms — an external sensor must be used here!

Step 3: Check signal strength

Log in to IWMAC after installing the sensors and check whether the signal strength is good.

1. Log in at https://www.iwmac.net/login
   • If you have not received a username and password, call us on [phone]
2. Go to the installation.
3. Log in using the blue button "view in service mode".
4. Click on "sensor list".
   
5. Check the signal strength of all sensors. If a sensor reads between –90 and –100 or flashes an error, you must move either the sensor or the gateway. The sensor gets a better signal if placed near glass doors or with a clear line of sight to the gateway.
6. Once all sensors are registered in the installation and have good signal strength, you can easily set the high/low temperature limits you want, along with the alarm delay.

Step 4: Completion

Before finishing the installation, it is important that you send us the information described below. This ensures you have a fault-free installation.

1. Overview image of the location
   • Mark where all sensors are placed
   • Mark where the gateway/gateways are placed
2. Name the sensors
   • Note what the sensors should be called (this makes it easier when you receive alarms).
3. Access and users
   • If new users are to be added, include: name, email and phone number.
   • If a service company is to be added, this must be noted.
