When access is to be controlled in more detail, permissions are used. A permission can be linked to either a user or a group. Through permissions, access permissions can be controlled right down to tag level.
The following types of permissions are available:
Permission: | Description: |
Page Permissions | Used to change the permissions of a particular page |
Directory Permissions | Used to change the permissions of a particular directory |
Object Permissions | Used to change the Permissions of a particular page object |
Tag Permissions | Used to change the Permissions of a particular tag |
Function Permissions | Used to change the Permissions of a particular function |
Note!
Directory permissions apply to all underlying pages and directories.
Information:
The following global access levels exist:
Level: | Description: |
NOACCESS | No global permissions |
VIEW | Global viewing permissions |
BASIC | Global authorization to change parameters of level 2 |
ADVANCED | Global authorization to change parameters of level 3 |
SYSTEM | Change/Create Pages, Manage IO-devices, and Tag lists |
ADMIN | Global Administrative Permissions |
PARENT | (used by the system) |
Note!
Permissions have priority over any global permissions imposed on the user or group. This means that access levels can be raised and lowered using permissions.
Create permission
To create a new permission, navigate to SYSTEM SETTINGS/ACCESS/PERMISSIONS. Click NEW PERMISSION of the type you want. In the dialog that opens, fill in the requested information and then select SAVE.
Information:

PAGE ID and ALIAS are obtained by opening the page in edit mode and then clicking page settings. The dialog that opens has information about the page ID.
OBJECT ID is obtained by clicking on the desired object on the page. The dialog that opens has the ID of the object. Note "." That separates the PAGE ID, and ALIAS, from the OBJECT ID
