Setting up minimum requirements for IWMAC's plant server can vary depending on the specific use case, but generally the following factors should be considered:

Operating system

The plant server should have a robust and stable Windows version that can handle the demands of the industrial environment. Windows IoT 11 or Windows LTSC are often used in industrial settings. Put some effort into removing bloatware.

Processor

The plant server should have a processor that can handle the workload and provide enough performance for the specific application. Industrial PCs often use processors such as Intel Atom, Celeron, i3, i5, or i7. The size and complexity of the plant will determine the choice of processor.

Memory

The plant server should have enough memory to handle the tasks and data that will be processed. A minimum of 4 GB of RAM is recommended for most industrial applications. If the hardware is also meant to be used for other types of service software, 8 GB is recommended.

Storage

The plant server should have enough storage to store the operating system, application, and data. A minimum of 128 GB is recommended. Solid-State Drive (SSD) is recommended as it provides faster access to data and better resistance to vibration and temperature changes.

Connectivity

IWMAC's plant server should have the necessary connectivity options for the specific application. This can include Ethernet, USB, Serial, or RS232/485 ports. We require a minimum of 2 Ethernet ports.

Environmental

IWMAC's plant servers are often exposed to harsh environments, so they should be designed to withstand extreme temperatures, dust, moisture, and vibration. A fanless design is often recommended for industrial applications as it increases durability and reduces maintenance.

Power supply

IWMAC's plant server requires a reliable power supply that can withstand voltage fluctuations and brownouts, and should be designed to meet the requirements of the specific application. UPS is recommended.
