Quick guide:
- 🔑 Open Remote Access via Operation Center, direct URL, or the RAC button in Service Mode
- ⚙️ Select the correct equipment in the list (e.g. Danfoss 850 or 720)

About Remote Access
Remote Access is a service for accessing equipment on the customer's network. It consists of a standalone application that the end user needs to download and run — it is not a pure browser-based solution. Web pages can interact with the Remote Access app, for example to launch it with the user's credentials or a selected plant ID.
The service runs on the plant and can, on request, connect to iwmac.net to receive instructions. The service can expose a set of fixed (pre-defined) IP:port pairs or a set of dynamic (scanned) IP:port pairs. It acts as a proxy and routes traffic from the end user to the selected equipment.
The Remote Access app also connects to iwmac.net. It establishes a set of TCP servers hosted on localhost addresses, also acting as a proxy routing traffic to the service on the plant.
How to open Remote Access
If the user has the correct access, the solution can be opened in the following ways:
- Button in Operation Center
- https://iwmac.net/remote_access/
- RAC button in Service Mode
Equipment types supported in Remote Access
- Carel Boss (http, https)
- AK2 (binary protocol, use AK2 Service Tool)
- AK3 (http, https), both standalone AK3 and master/slave configuration
- Green & Cool (old version) (http and binary protocol, requires Internet Explorer)
General equipment types supported in Remote Access
- Supports all HTTP
- Supports most HTTPS
- Supports most binary protocols; the user can use third-party software connecting to the exposed localhost port
Open StoreView via Remote Access (Danfoss 850)
- Start Remote Access.
- Select Danfoss 850 (if the plant has multiple gateways, see additional information below).
- Click Start selected line.
- Click Copy to Clipboard.

Copy the address.
Paste the address into StoreView on your PC (download and install StoreView) and click Connect.

Open Service Tools via Remote Access

- Start Remote Access.
- Select Danfoss 720.

Click Launch selected line.
You will receive an IP address to use for a new connection in the Service Tools application on your PC. Once you have opened Service Tools, create a new connection by clicking Add.
The following fields must be filled in or changed:
- Site name: Name your connection

Then click OK and connect to the newly created connection.
